Some of the trips I remember most come down to the smallest things, a great meal, a conversation, a recommendation someone gave me, or a street I wandered down by chance.

OFFLIST grew from wanting to share that feeling. Discovering a place through its people, stories, food, art and the local favourites you’d pass along to a friend.

My hope is that each edition sparks your curiosity, introduces you to something you might not have found otherwise, and connects you to a community of people who love discovering what makes a place special.

And because I still love something you can hold onto, it arrives in the mail, not your inbox.

Where We're Going First

001 · Kincardine

Our first stop starts close to home.

Kincardine is personal for me. I grew up visiting my grandma there, and so many of my memories are tied to the town.

Lake Huron sunsets, the Pipe Band marching through town on Saturday nights, the lighthouse by the harbour, and the local places I’ve come to know over the years all made it feel like the right place to start.

We know where we’re going but we’re keeping the exact destination tucked away for a little longer.

This one will take us into the people, food, creativity and stories that bring the place to life.

Artists are part of the story

A place looks different depending on who is looking.

The artists we work with bring another point of view to each destination through the illustrated postcard and passport-inspired collectible sticker.

Whenever we can, we’ll work with artists who have a connection to the places we feature, and we’ll share more about the people behind the work along the way.

Connection goes both ways

The places we feature give us their stories, food, traditions and local favourites. As OFFLIST grows, my hope is to give something back by supporting local food initiatives and schools in the places we feature.

We’re building toward that thoughtfully, and I’ll share more as we get there.
